Analysis that Aims to Improve Evidence-Based Resource Allocation
 
Project Activities

Running from October 2008 up to October 2013, the project conducted analyses of public expenditures at the district, state and national level. It also engaged in concerted dissemination and outreach efforts involving policymakers, media and other relevant stakeholders.

The project activities included:

  • Rigorous research and analysis – program budgeting, benefit incidence, and cost-effectiveness analysis and policy simulations
  • Technical training through global and regional workshops, technical advisors and sector experts
  • Peer-learning and cross-country comparisons to support research and analysis, and strengthen global interconnectedness
  • Constructive engagement and outreach through dissemination of reports and policy options with policymakers and key stakeholders at regional, country and global levels
