We are pleased to bring you another edition of the Research Monitor, our bi-annual compilation of research findings and trends from various GDN activities, designed to inform current debate and policies.

This issue focuses on updates from our active research programs across the world. It highlights key information and stories on a range of development themes, intrinsically linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, including aid effectiveness, economic productivity and natural resource management, inclusion, and the quality of research and education. Results and findings have been distilled into short stories and features, making the latest research and trends accessible to all.

We hope that the highlights contained in this issue of the Research Monitor will continue to inform current debate on key development themes and practices, and policy. Please share it with interested colleagues, policy makers and other development actors.
