Annual Report 2019

In a preface to the Global Development Network's Annual Report 2019, François Bourguignon, Chair, Board of Directors and Pierre Jacquet, President, recognize the challenge of an environment where funding for research, and research support activities, has been dwindling. They remain hopeful that a resurgence of confidence in science and rigorous knowledge, in the wake of Covid-19, will "strengthen and fund the contribution of the social sciences to human progress worldwide."

The report outlines GDN's learning and outlook, as well as highlights from the last 20 years. An overview of program achievements is followed by a detailed report on the Global Development Conference held in Bonn in October 2019. Read the full report for more.
