Daniel Fussy

Daniel is leading the implementation of GDN’s innovative programme called ‘Doing Research’ through its flagship methodology ‘Doing Research Assessment’ (DRA) conducted at national levels. The vision of the program is to support a shift towards evidence-based research and research capacity building policies, at the national and international level, by mobilising local research capacity in the process. 

Daniel is also a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE), a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom. Daniel’s research interest, in which he has published widely, is centred on governance of social science research, research culture and researcher development, international and comparative education, and teacher professionalism.
