20 February 2019 | In a half day event, the Global Development Network will close its program on quality and improvement in the public and private sectors. The two-year research program documents the link between productivity increases at the firm level and managerial innovation such as Kaizen, a Japanese management approach.
At a seminar jointly hosted by the Global Development Network and the National Council of Applied Economic Research in India, Jean Pisani-Ferry, Senior Fellow Bruegel, spoke on "The Challenges of International Collective Action in a Changed Environment."
On 20-21 December 2018, teams from national research institutions in Bolivia, Indonesia and Nigeria met for the first time in GDN's global office in New Delhi, to discuss emerging research -- including context analyses, stakeholder mapping and data collection -- to document the health of social science research systems in their respective countries.
