COTE D'IVOIRE
The IRCB Program extended its reach to Cote d'Ivoire, specifically to the Centre de Recherche pour le Développement (CRD) of the l'Université Alassane Ouattara (UAO), one of IRCB's grantees. The team met for the launch of the intervention on June 27, 2023 at the UAO in Cote d'Ivoire, to discuss the way forward. Having overcome several challenges related to financial and material resources, the CRD wishes to deploy structuring measures that can guarantee its sustainability over time. Through the IRCB's institutional grant which lasts two years, the team is therefore focusing on strategies to circumvent threats, on one hand, and on the other, prospects for sustained activities post GDN funding. The team's planned actions focus on managerial capacity-building, scientific training, international events and institutional advocacy. The presence of the mayor and participation of students, researchers, academic and administrative staff also marked the start of a promising and inclusive collaboration.
The team from CRD, Cote d'Ivoire has launched two calls for Francophone consultants, within the framework of the GDN grant. These are for:
- Trainer in project design and grant writing for development research professionals (national consultant)
- Trainer in project management and M&E for development research professionals (national consultant)
