Tyler Demers

As Grants and Projects Manager, Tyler plays a key support role in the planning, launching, monitoring, and documentation of GDN programs. He also plays a connector role between the Research and Programs Unit, and other GDN units.

Tyler holds a Masters in Biomedical Science and International Development from the University of Guelph, Canada and is committed to driving positive global change through his career. He has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit/charitable sector, focused on program and grant management as well as donor education.

Prior to joining GDN, Tyler was a Senior Program Officer at Toronto Foundation – one of Canada’s largest Community Foundations – and managed a portfolio of over $16 Million in grants, spread across all issue areas in the city of Toronto. He is still currently based in Toronto.

Outside of work, you can find Tyler at the pool playing with his local waterpolo club or on the soccer pitch. He also enjoys volunteering for local charities, fiddling around on his guitar, or curling up with a nice book and mug of coffee or tea.
