Closing Program on Firm Level Quality and Productivity

20 February 2019 | In a half day event, the Global Development Network will close its program on quality and improvement in the public and private sectors. The two-year research program documents the link between productivity increases at the firm level and managerial innovation such as Kaizen, a Japanese management approach.

Doing Research Kick-off

Call for Expressions of Interest

Building on the successes and lessons learnt from the pilot round in 2012, GDN launched a second round of the GRC in mid-2013. Through an open call for applications, GDN received 131 submissions from 72 countries, of which 24 percent where from low income countries. Through internal and external screenings, five research proposals were selected that traverse a range of topics.

Supporting Inclusion in Africa

3 December 2016 | In Dakar, Senegal, GDN and the African Economic Research Consortium hosted a half-day policy dialogue with high-level policymakers, representatives of aid agencies, and senior African researchers to discuss how local researchers, policymakers and aid institutions can advance the research agenda on aid effectiveness and support local development policies.
